This policy explains the limited information processed when you visit ResultAtlas and the choices available to you. ResultAtlas is an independent statistical reference website. It does not offer visitor accounts, a newsletter, advertising, or a contact form, and it does not sell personal information.
Information processed when you visit
Essential delivery and security data
ResultAtlas uses Cloudflare for network delivery and security and DigitalOcean for hosting. Those services and the web server may process technical request data such as an IP address, request date and time, requested URL, response status, browser or user-agent information, and security events. This information is used to deliver the site, detect abuse, diagnose failures, and protect the service.
Local preferences
The site stores your theme choice and privacy choice in your browser’s local storage. These preferences let the site remember System, Light, or Dark appearance and whether you allowed optional analytics. They remain on your device until you change them or clear site data.
Email correspondence
If you email a ResultAtlas public contact address, the message, sender address, routing metadata, and any information you choose to include are processed through Cloudflare Email Routing and the Owner’s destination email provider. This information is used only to receive, review, and respond to the message; maintain necessary correspondence records; and address privacy, editorial, security, or operational issues.
Optional Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 is off until you explicitly choose Allow analytics. Before consent, ResultAtlas does not load the Google Analytics tag and keeps analytics storage denied. Advertising storage is denied and ResultAtlas does not use advertising features.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may process page views, session statistics, approximate location, and browser or device information. Its web implementation may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and sessions. ResultAtlas uses this information in aggregate to understand which reference pages are useful and whether the site works well across devices.
You can reopen Privacy choices from the footer at any time, turn analytics off, and save the change. Turning analytics off stops future Google Analytics loading from ResultAtlas and removes known ResultAtlas first-party Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits it.
Why this information is used
Technical request data is processed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website. Optional analytics is processed only with your choice and is used to understand site use and improve the reference experience. ResultAtlas does not use analytics to make decisions about individual visitors.
Service providers
ResultAtlas relies on:
- Cloudflare for network delivery, caching, security, and inbound email routing;
- DigitalOcean for server hosting;
- Google for destination email delivery and Google Analytics for optional measurement after consent;
- WordPress software to publish and operate the website.
These providers may process information in countries other than your own under their own terms and privacy safeguards.
Retention
Browser preferences remain on your device until you change them or clear site data. Operational and security logs are retained only for operational, security, backup, and legal needs under the site’s infrastructure schedules. Email correspondence is retained only as needed to respond, maintain necessary records, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the ResultAtlas Analytics property and Google’s applicable terms. ResultAtlas does not keep a separate visitor profile database.
Your choices and rights
You can decline analytics, change your choice later, block or delete cookies, and clear local site data through your browser. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding personal information connected to you.
Because ResultAtlas has no visitor accounts or forms, it may hold little or no information that can be connected to a request. Service-provider logs or analytics data may not always be identifiable to a particular person.

Third-party links
ResultAtlas links to publishers, methodological sources, DOI resolvers, and other external websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties, not by ResultAtlas.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site’s actual data practices or service providers change. The date at the top will be revised when a material change is published.
